The service

Typowatch watches public sources for newly registered or newly certified domains that look like the domains you monitor, and tells you about them.

Billing

Typowatch costs $19.99 per month, billed in advance through Stripe. You can cancel at any time under Settings → Billing; monitoring continues until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again. If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for a while and monitoring stays on; if it can’t be collected, monitoring pauses until the subscription is active again. We’ll tell you before any price change.

What you may monitor

Only domains and brand names you own or are authorized to protect. Don’t use Typowatch or what it finds to harass domain owners, to register lookalike domains, or to interfere with other services.

What we can and can’t promise

We work to find lookalikes quickly and accurately, but no monitoring catches everything. A domain that never gets a certificate, or that was registered before you started monitoring and isn’t a likely variant of your name, may not be found. Findings are information, not legal advice; deciding what to do about a lookalike, including takedown requests, is up to you.

Your account

Keep your password private. You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put the service at risk.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses caused by a lookalike domain we didn’t find, or by alerts that arrive late or not at all.

Changes

We’ll post changes to these terms here and update the date above. Material changes will also be emailed to you.
